Il sufismo è la dimensione mistica dell’Islam, orientata all’esperienza diretta del Divino attraverso devozione, “ricordo” (dhikr), poesia e amore. Il Qawwali è una tradizione musicale secolare nata nei santuari sufi dell’Asia meridionale, dove la poesia sacra viene cantata in cicli potenti di ritmo e melodia, per elevare il cuore e risvegliare la nostalgia spirituale.
