Onder leiding van Tahir Qawwal, en ondersteund door een meesterlijk ensemble van tabla, harmonium en samenzang, blijft de groep volledig geworteld in de klassieke Qawwali-traditie. Zonder elektronica, crossover of popinvloeden staat de muziek in dienst van spirituele overdracht en concentratie.

Now in their 26th year of international touring, Fanna-Fi-Allah stands among the foremost traditional Qawwali ensembles in the world today. With thousands of performances across more than 50 countries, the group carries the living music of Sufi shrines to global audiences, offering a rare and immersive experience of this devotional art form.

Led by Tahir Qawwal, and supported by a masterful ensemble of tabla, harmonium, and choral vocals, the group remains firmly rooted in the classical Qawwali tradition. There is no fusion, no electronic instrumentation, and no pop crossover, only a deep commitment to the original form as it has been transmitted for centuries.

Each performance is a powerful expression of spiritual devotion, featuring the poetry of Sufi saints such as Amir Khusrau and Baba Farid, carried by driving rhythms, resonant clapping, and trance-inducing melodic cycles. The atmosphere often includes whirling Sufi dance and a shared, ecstatic energy that transcends language and belief.
